However, Asus had a good record of selling laptops. Now Asus has entered the mobile phone industry with ASUS Fonepad. On the other hand, Apple has its very own Apple IPad Mini. Both the phones are in a similar range. Some differences do separate them, as Fonepad is a calling tablet and Ipad Mini a small sized tablet.
The Fonepad is made of glass, aluminum and plastic and Ipad is made of glass and aluminum only. Apple has always been able to make good-looking devices. The Ipad is better than Fonepad in terms of touch and design. However, Fonepad is thicker than Ipad wherein, the former has a thickness of 10.4 mm and the latter of 7.2 mm. These differences have put more weight on Fonepad. It is of 340 grams while Ipad mini is just 308 grams. Overall shapes of the two tablets are the same with curvy corners even though, Ipad mini is much closer to a square shape and Fonepad to a rectangular shape. The screen size of Fonepad is 7 inches. This screen has a resolution of 1280 × 800 pixels. A small screen with lot of pixels means a higher pixel density. The total pixel density of this phone is 216 ppi.

Therefore, Asus is better in terms of pixel density, which means it will show sharper pictures and in depth image quality. The processor comparison reveals that Fonepad is powered by Intel Z2420 chip. The operating speed is at 1.2 GHz with 1 GB RAM. We made a comparison of 16 GB internal storage of Asus and the various variants of Ipad. The Apple is better concerning internal storage and is available under 16, 32 and 64 GB, which makes Apple one-step ahead of the Fonepad. The primary camera competition is also in favor of Apple wherein, Ipad has a 5 MP camera and Fonepad 3.2 MP. There is a tie between the front cameras of the two phones and both have a 1.2 MP secondary camera. The price tag of Fonepad is lower than Ipad. The prices of Apple Ipad Mini’s and Asus Fonepad are Rs. 20,500 and Rs. 15,999 respectively.
