Facebook Camera App Available for iOS Devices

Facebook has been in the limelight for a while now, what with its awe-inspiring $100 billion valuation in its IPO, which resulted in a full-blown controversy. However, the social networking giant is trying to keep its business unaffected and continues to develop new apps to expand and enhance the user’s mobile experience. Thus, Facebook has launched a new dedicated camera app, called the Facebook Camera app for Apple iPhone and Apple iPad. Only two months ago had Facebook announced that it is acquiring the extremely popular photo-sharing app that has taken the world of smartphones by storm- Instagram. Instagram is a standalone application for Android smartphones and iPhones that lets users dramatically improve their photos by adding various kinds of filters.

Although Facebook had announced the takeover of Instagram two months ago, the deal is yet to be closed. Following the proposed acquisition, the social networking company is focusing on its image uploading and image sharing features, by launching the Facebook Camera app. The new Facebook Camera phone app offers several new features over and above those offered by original Facebook app. For example, users can now upload a whole batch of photos in one go, whereas in the original Facebook app, users were able to upload only one photo at a time. The app simplifies the way people interact with their Facebook photos and makes the process of uploading photos simple. Also, the app offers some new features that are similar to the ones offered by Instagram. Users can add filters to their photos and give quick touch-ups to their photos before uploading them.

Several editing functions like crop, rotate and others are also offered. This saves the effort of using yet another app for editing the photos. Users will also be able to view a feed of photos uploaded by their friends. The user can view the photos and even enlarge them for better viewing experience. Once installed, the app automatically detects if any Facebook accounts are already associated with the device, so that the user is saved from the additional time and effort of manually logging in. This enables the user to start viewing and uploading photos almost immediately after installation. The Facebook Camera app is available only for devices running iOS 4.3 or higher. It can be downloaded free of cost from the iTunes App Store. I shared that Apple iPhone 4S A Popular Phone with Advanced Features.
